Babylon 5

Incase you're not familiar with this excellent science fiction television series I shall try (and fail) to define it in a sentence.

Babylon 5 is an epic story, bearing a closer resemblance to novels like Lord of the Rings and Dune than to its TV stablemate Star Trek.

It was several weeks before I started to appreciate Babylon 5 for what it is, rather than judging it by the preconceptions that the Star Trek universe had set up in my mind. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Star Trek, particuarly the old series and Voyager, but Babylon 5 is attempting something that is closer to my heart, and should appeal to people who love to see a story unfold before them.
